Researchers at Tufts University fed a test group of elderly rats blueberry juice and discovered they were more coordinated, energetic and smarter than a second group which were not given blueberry juice. Scientists are now trying to figure out what's in the blueberry that improves motor coordination, while increasing mental and physical energy. In the meantime, why wait? When you find yourself in the middle of 'the afternoon slump,' just grab a handful of blueberries!
