Family Weight-loss Tips

August 30, 2012

Helping your family lose or maintain weight may be as simple as serving smaller meals at home and watching the servings you receive at restaurants! Restaurant and fast food joints are dishing out more food than ever! Keep this in mind, the average person can only digest 300 calories while an average restaurant serving is 800 calories! That moves more than 500 calories to your hips! More Americans are dining out than ever before and we may be trying to match those super-sized portions at home! Making matters worse -- current guidelines for cooking at home actually instruct folks to eat more than they used to. Research shows that some standard recipes produce the exact same amount of food they always have--but now serve fewer people with larger portions! The solution is simple. Monitor the calories in the food you prepare -- buy an inexpensive food scale and talk to a certified nutritionist to find the right health plan for you and your family!
