Consuming smaller amounts throughout the day really is better for you than the standard 'three square meals' a day we've all grown up eating. A recent study found that after eating 250 and 500 calorie meals older women were able to burn the same number of calories as a woman aged 25! However, when the same women consumed a one thousand calorie meal, they burned 60 fewer calories than young women. In just one year, that could sneak on six pounds, researchers believe this could explain age-related weight gain. The study makes mini-meals look smarter than ever!
