Baby's Brain

April 30, 2015

A mother-to-be's diet is important -- it can even benefit a fetus' brain power! Recent research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that during pregnancy, and particularly during the third trimester, choline is needed to support fetal development. The research found that choline plays an important role in fetal and infant brain development, particularly the areas of the brain responsible for memory and life-long learning abilities. Add choline to your diet with eggs, dairy, nuts and legumes and cruciferous veggies!
