Berries and Alzheimer's Disease

May 10, 2016

Red grapes, blueberries, raspberries and  mulberries are all great sources of resveratrol ... which is showing promise in the treatment and prevention of Alzheimer's disease. Berries (yes, grapes are in the berry family!) help a process called neurogenesis - the making new neurons, which is believed to help preserve our memories and ability to learn. Berries offer more brain health by helping to remove toxic proteins that build up in the brain, including amyloid beta. Those berries can also cut your risk of a heart attack by up to 32%!
