Bone Health

Vitamin K is king when it comes to bone health! Research shows that high intake of the nutrient is closely associated with bone density. Green leafy vegetables are one of the best sources of vitamin K. Scientists find that women consuming around 300 micrograms a day have greater bone density! And you don't have to eat much to reap the benefits. One cup of spinach contains approximately 360 micrograms of vitamin K, brussels sprouts 235, and broccoli 113. Vitamin K interacts with the body's chemistry to provide healthy bones. It works by allowing a particular protein to take its place in the skeletal structure. Talk to a nutritionist for more important information.
