June 26, 2014Questions over when women should be screened for breast cancer and concerns about false positive results that lead to unnecessary biopsies may be nearing the end! A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association looked at a new screening method that uses 3-D mammography which resulted in a 15 percent reduction of call-backs for additional screening while finding of the more tiny, potentially fatal tumors. Great news for women's health!
